Goodbye!

The time has come to announce what I've known was coming for the past month....I am leaving Santa Rosa CityBus to work on behalf of the Sonoma Marin Area Rail Transit District.  It's been the toughest career choice of my life.  My colleagues at Santa Rosa CityBus have been a delight to work with (why, in fact just this afternoon we had to separate the two ladies at our front counter because they couldn't stop giggling).  You can't buy that kind of joy in the workplace.  And the idea of not being able to blog about this fantastic bus system and the great work being done here just breaks my heart.  I'll miss all of it terribly.

I'll be moving on to SMART to help them find the money needed to get that train up and running.  The region of the North Bay needs that train badly to help shape the development and transportation conversations of the future and to ensure that this region doesn't become detached from the rest of the economy of the Bay Area.  It's about basic access to services and opportunity for some places along the SMART corridor.

And I will always have a soft spot in my heart for the plucky bus company that is Santa Rosa CityBus.  And my colleagues promise to give blogging their best shot.  If you think this blog is a useful thing to keep up and running, be sure to let them know.  Thanks for reading.
